Image [UJE] Mountain Attack beta 2 is an allies objective map made by [UJE]Niek - The war is in its Early days and Axis forces have occupied a small French village, where they are Building a new Radar System, the Wurzburg Radar.

Allied Forces have to sneak into the village and escape with the Radar Parts. This will be a lethal battle where only the Strongest will Survive.

Allies objective:
*Destroy the main entrance of the radar building
*Destroy steal the radarpart and bring it to the truck
*Escort the truck
*Build the commandpost to get a new spawn

silEnT mod 0.8.0 is out!

Before you read below, we would like to inform you that there's been a 0.8.0 server patch created for 0.8.0 version.

It fixes 1 defect that somehow slept into the release version, that is classes other than soldier could receive Improvised Demolition with the ammo pack.
All of you who downloaded 0.8.0 before this information are advised to use this patch or download the full package again - it has been fixed already.
We apologize for this small inconvenience.

ETrun is a Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory timerun mod. The goal of a timerun is to get from the start of the map to the end as fast as possible.

How does it work?
ETrun has 3 different physics:
    * Vanilla (VET)    * Vanilla Quake 3 (VQ3)    * Advanced Physics (AP)

It's heavily based on competition between players, your goal is to get the best times as possible and to compete with your friends.

Crossfire Prizefight Challenge 2 beendet

Die große LAN ist beendet. Doch was ist das Fazit? Schaut man sich das Siegertreppchen an, dann sieht man Team Dignitas nicht auf den ersten Platz. Durch eine Veränderung im Lineup für diese LAN, hat es Team Dignitas nicht geschafft ihr volles Potential auszureizen. Höchstwahrscheinlich kam diese Niederlage zustande weil Night nicht spielen konnte und dafür der Gamer Sol eingesetzt worden ist. Durch diese Niederlage von ex Iddle gibt es nun natürlich Hoffnung auf einen interessanten Eurocup der vielleicht nicht zwangsläufig Dignitas als Sieger voraussetzt. Doch die Zeit wird zeigen, ob der Höhenflug vorbei ist oder ob das Team wirklich durch diesen einen Gamer nur den dritten Platz erreicht hat.

X-Labs - Goldrush

A new mod for ET has found his way to life - X-Labs.

Mod Discription Goldrush:
- All teams use carabine weapon
- Instagib mod - one shot kills you!
- If enemy dies he loses a goldbar
- Collect the gold and redeem this on the (any) flag
- More gold makes you sluggish / slow - but gives more points!
- Team with the most points wins

Tip for more points (requires teamplay)
A team player - called the cow - remains hidden in the background of the map (near a flag). His team collects gold and bring it to him, with selfkill. The cow collects all the gold on (and waiting for more from the team). Near the end of rounds, his team push the cow to the flag (because the cow is very slow with so much gold!).
So points in the six-digit are possible!

Eine neue Mod für ET hat seinen Weg ins Leben gefunden - X-Labs.

Mod Beschreibung Goldrush:
- Alle Teams benutzen die Karabiner Waffe
- Instagib Mod - ein einziger Schusstreffer ist tötlich
- Wenn ein Feind stirbt verliert er einen Goldbarren
- Sammele das Gold auf und löse es an einer (beliebigen) Flagge ein
- Mehr Gold macht dich träger/langsamer - aber es gibt mehr Punkte!
- Das Team mit den meisten Punkten gewinnt

Tip für mehr Punkte (benötigt Teamplay)
Ein Team Spieler - genannt die Kuh - bleibt im Hintergrund auf der Map versteckt (nähe einer Flagge). Sein Team sammelt das Gold und bringt es ihm, mit Selbstkill. Die Kuh sammelt das Gold (und wartet auf mehr Gold vom Team). Kurz vor dem Rundenende, schubst sein Team die Kuh zur Flagge (weil die Kuh zu langsam ist mit so viel Gold!)
Punkte im sechsstelligen Bereich sind so möglich!

UAC: A New Anticheat for ET

For the past few weeks, I have been trying to find a new anticheat for ET. TZAC did a good job for a while, but I think most of us can agree that it is time to move on.

You may have heard about the new AC being developed by TrackBase. While it does seem somewhat promising and I wish them the best of luck with it, we simply cannot afford to wait for a brand new anticheat to be made from scratch. I was forced to search for an already existing AC instead, one that would be ready in time for the Fall 2013 season.

I am pleased to announce that ET is now officially supported by Universal Anticheat!

Universal Anticheat (UAC) has been in development since 2006 by a coder named DExUS and currently supports Battlefield 3, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4, and several other games. It has already proven itself on ClanBase in CoD2, so I am confident that it will do good things for ET in the upcoming EC/OC season.

Before I continue, however, I must admit that this is only a temporary solution. DExUS recently announced that he will be shutting down UAC on the 1st of January due to lack of time and motivation. This is obviously very unfortunate, but it's not something I didn't already know about, and it won't stop us from taking advantage of what UAC has to offer ET for the next 3-4 months.

So, how does UAC work?

Like our previous anticheat, UAC is primarily intended to be used in official clan matches. It runs on a system which requires a Match ID to be entered every time it is used.

In ClanBase cup/ladder matches, the Match ID will be the WID at the end of the CB matchlink. (For example, in  http://clanbase.ggl.com/warinfo.php?wid=1337, the match ID is 1337.) If you are playing an IRC war or other non-official match, the Match ID can be anything unique and mutually agreed upon.

Simply select Enemy Territory, enter a Match ID, and check the box next to Start scanning. Then, open ET and play the match as usual. You can minimize at any time to check which players are currently actively scanning in the same Match ID. UAC will scan your memory/files and take screenshots at random times throughout the match. After the match is over, you must uncheck the box next to Start scanning. The scan logs and screenshots will then be uploaded, and you are free to review them in the same UAC window.

If UAC happens to take a few screenshots with your personal information in them, you can immediately delete them while reviewing the screenshots in your UAC window.

WARNING: UAC scans your PC for cheats. This means that if you have any cheats at all on your PC, you risk getting banned, regardless of whether or not the cheats are ET-related and regardless of whether or not the cheats have been loaded. DExUS has expressed to me how serious he is about this, stating that he believes there is no reason for a clean player to have cheats on his PC. So, this is your one and only warning. Remove any and all cheats on your PC before using UAC.

Since the ClanBase website is currently down, I will wait to discuss in detail how UAC is going to work in ET on CB. We do plan to use it in the Fall 2013 season as well as in future ladder matches and will explain more when the time comes.

For now, simply create a UAC account if you haven't already, and try it out! You will be able to register your ID on ClanBase once the website is back online, then you'll be allowed to use UAC for official matches.

A simple utility I created over a year ago to handle several tasks for noob players on my servers, particularly players using old 2.55 or having disconnect errors. About half our support tickets were addressed using this one tool.
I am no longer developing it, or supporting it, but figured I would share it with the public in case anyone has a use for it.
Use at own risk, and no this is not going to fix every disconnect issue.

IGN have undertaken the mammoth task of compiling the Top 100 First Person Shooters of all time from all of the shooters released in the past 20 or so years. It’s great to see Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory make the list a full decade after its release, deploying in the #84 spot.

Back in the dark age of the FPS, multiplayer was nothing but a bunch of people running in every direction at once with their triggers held down like savages. Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory wasn't the first game to feature objective-focused, class-based competitive play, but its free, open-sourced nature exposed a massive amount of new players to the concept, opening the door for what eventually grow into a much larger trend in multiplayer design.

 

As a reboot of the franchise that started the genre, Return to Castle Wolfenstein had a lot to live up to. And though it didn't constitute the wheel re-inventing some had hoped it would be, it was still an excellent take on the space between fighting soldiers and fighting hellspawn. In many ways it was just a natural extension of Wolfenstein 3D's controversial final boss, taking historical myths about the Nazis dabbling in the occult and swinging for the fences with them. But it would be the multiplayer that would be remembered most fondly, keeping scads of frag-heads tethered to their gaming rigs until the wee hours for months and years to come.

 

The great-granddaddy of first-person shooters, Wolfenstein 3D launched the genre we take for granted today. It was inspired by Castle Wolfenstein and its sequel, a pair of relatively crude 2D stealth shooters that pit you against Nazi guards. The metamorphosis into 3D (well, pseudo 3D) was like sorcery in 1992. Gone were the stealth elements; the golden age of run-and-gun shooters erupted with the roar of a chaingun as you blasted through three glorious episodes filled with Nazis and even Adolf Hitler himself as a boss. Id's breakout achievement directly (and indirectly) gave birth to Doom, Rise of the Triad, and every other shooter that followed.
