DAZ2007 released his ET modification ETGold 2.71 (ETforever) - This is a New Build of Enemy Territory that has new Features and Fixes Some Minor Bugs. Improved the Rendering Engine, there is now a 10% or more Increase in FPS.

DAZ2007 veröffentlicht seine ET Modifikation ETGold 2.71 (ETforever) - Dies ist ein neuer Aufbau von Enemy Territorry, das neue Funktionen hat und einige Bugs behebt. Ausserdem wurde die Render Engine verbessert und dadurch eine Steigerung der FPS um 10% und mehr erziehlt.

- Faster PK3 Loading
- Added Mouse Acceleration ( Enable with cl_mouseAccel )
- Fixed Sound Looping
- Added HD Resolutions ( r_mode "11" = 720HD , r_mode "12" = 1080HD)
- also added cvar "listmodes" to view the list of r_modes
- Increase Default com_hunkmegs to 96MB
- Small Fix with Alpha Textures
- Changed r_customwidth and r_customheight to "r_width" and "r_height"
- Added a New cvar called "which" Command from ioquake3
- Removed GL_Extensions and Pk3 Loading Spam from the Console, the Console should be easier to navigate
- Removed old quake3 BOT Cvars from the Console
- Fixed a Bug with skyboxes with ATI Cards
- Increased the Limit of cl_maxpackets to "125"

note:

- This WILL Works only on Servers that have no Punkbuster, but is combatible with 2.60 Servers
- ETGold uses different etkeys from ET2.60

Finally, the first deadline arrived last night at 20:00 (BST)! I can confirm that there has been a total of 5 maps submitted for the competition and there's definitely potential for ET to see at least one new competitive map entering in to the map pool. As this is only the initial deadline, this period will be used for the map makers to receive feedback on their maps in order to improve them for the next and final deadline of June 7th 2011 at 20:00 (BST).

For those of you who aren't up to date on what this is all about can read the original news item here on Crossfire. In short, the winner of this contest will receive €150 prize and have their map featured in the map pool at my LAN event in July.
