Die Prognosen standen auf Sieg für das ehemalige Team idle, jetzt bekannt als Team Dignitas. Die Prognosen trafen ein, ein weiterer Sieg in Folge, zeroPoint! war ohne butchji nicht einmal im Stande den Sieg zu schnuppern, leider. Es hat für sie nur für den zweiten Platz, nach der 0:4 Niederlage, gereicht. Bei der shgOpen Lan in Dänemark wird die Revange auf einer LAN folgen, doch wieder ohne Butchji.

IGN have undertaken the mammoth task of compiling the Top 100 First Person Shooters of all time from all of the shooters released in the past 20 or so years. It’s great to see Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory make the list a full decade after its release, deploying in the #84 spot.

Back in the dark age of the FPS, multiplayer was nothing but a bunch of people running in every direction at once with their triggers held down like savages. Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory wasn't the first game to feature objective-focused, class-based competitive play, but its free, open-sourced nature exposed a massive amount of new players to the concept, opening the door for what eventually grow into a much larger trend in multiplayer design.

 

As a reboot of the franchise that started the genre, Return to Castle Wolfenstein had a lot to live up to. And though it didn't constitute the wheel re-inventing some had hoped it would be, it was still an excellent take on the space between fighting soldiers and fighting hellspawn. In many ways it was just a natural extension of Wolfenstein 3D's controversial final boss, taking historical myths about the Nazis dabbling in the occult and swinging for the fences with them. But it would be the multiplayer that would be remembered most fondly, keeping scads of frag-heads tethered to their gaming rigs until the wee hours for months and years to come.

 

The great-granddaddy of first-person shooters, Wolfenstein 3D launched the genre we take for granted today. It was inspired by Castle Wolfenstein and its sequel, a pair of relatively crude 2D stealth shooters that pit you against Nazi guards. The metamorphosis into 3D (well, pseudo 3D) was like sorcery in 1992. Gone were the stealth elements; the golden age of run-and-gun shooters erupted with the roar of a chaingun as you blasted through three glorious episodes filled with Nazis and even Adolf Hitler himself as a boss. Id's breakout achievement directly (and indirectly) gave birth to Doom, Rise of the Triad, and every other shooter that followed.

Spankie: It's really hard to write something from the top of my head. Well, first of all, I'd really like to thank ag0n, samAel and drj3w for feedback and help with some things that I just couldn't figure out myself.
I wanted to go a little bit further with this one - bring some of the CoD/CSS editing atmosphere here. Did I succeed? I'll let you decide yourself.

ES Alamo Sniper

New Map |ES|Alamo Sniper made by |ES|LoRenz - If any of you know the real story about Alamo, I think you already guess, this must be a circular map. And, it is. I do not remember seen a circular sniper map before. This is a total new concept.
Allies are located in center of map, (Church of Alamo) surrounded by Axis on all sides. Axis have cannons on their side, wich can shot against Allies.. and you can partly shot down Allies building (Church of Alamo). But ofcource, you need to find the cannon, wich can fire. Good luck.

For both teams, repeated rifle fire will partly destroy buildings too. Axis side of map is of course bigger than allies side, becouse its a circular map. But |ES|LoRenz took care of that too. On each side of Axis side, you will find transporters, wich will move you to any side of the map.

The concept of circular snipermap is brand new. But I think, its no trouble after a few minutes, to find your way around map. Its not harder, than playing one of the old fashion ET maps.

Neue Map |ES|Alamo Sniper erstellt von |ES|LoRenz - Falls einer von euch die wahre Geschichte über Alamo kennt, weiß es bestimmt schon, das diese Map kreisförmig ist.
Dies ist eine völlig neues Konzept, einer kreisförmigen Scharfschützen Map. Die Alliierten sind in der Mitte der Karte (Church of Alamo) und von allen Seiten von Achsenmächten umgeben.

Das Konzept der kreisrunden Snipermap ist zwar neu, aber nach ein paar Minuten Einspielzeit findet man sich recht schnell auf der Map zurecht. Es ist nicht schwieriger, als das Spielen anderer ET-Maps.

The end of TZAC and the new website

Dear visitors,

due to a very unfortunate chain of events, most of which were my hosting partner's fault, the TZAC anti-cheat has been shut down. It is not coming back, therefore please do not send me emails.

I've tried to explain the situation with TZAC on a few occasions, but due to the influence of my hosting partners primarily in the ET scene, very few people even tried to consider my side of the story true. I will only repeat, and that is for the last time, that I find it extremely stupid that majority of people in the community believe that it was alright from my hosting partners to take over my software, regardless how long I was away. It's my software, but as usually, with exception of a few, most of the members of the Crossfire community have issues with understanding the most basic things.

As for the cheats, I will be releasing both public and private cheats, both of which will, as always when it comes to my releases, be undetected.

League admins in ET have announced a new competition anticheat. I will use this opportunity to announce that I will be releasing (public and private) cheats for their anticheat, no matter when and by who it is done.

ET will not be the only game supported, Call of Duty series and QUAKELIVE will be as well, possibly Urban Terror and Counter Strike(s), too.

With this service tool, you`ll be able to create ET-map campaigns with up to 100 Maps (max. 10 maps / cycle, max 10 cycles / campaignfile) in an easy way.
Changes from previous version:
Full integrated within the wolffiles-filebase. After you`ve edited your campaign, your also get a file with links to the concerning map-files on wolffiles.de.

Wolffiles, schnoog hat eine neue Version von seinem ET Kampagnen Creator erschaffen. Mit diesem Creator ist man in der Lage Kampagnen mit bis zu 100 Maps (max. 10 Maps pro Kampagne x max. 10 Kampagnen) zu erstellen.
Änderungen zur ersten Version: Voll integrierte Wolffiles-Filebase. Nach Erstellen der Kampagne, bekommt ihr von Wolffiles  auch eine Datei mit Links der betreffenden Maps.
