I'm happy to announce that the CyberGamer Anticheat now supports Enemy Territory! Effective immediately, CGAC is mandatory in all CG EU ET ladder matches. Read the rest of this newspost for more information.
To install CGAC, follow the steps below. Once you have installed the software, on your first launch the program will automatically update to the latest version.
- Download the installer here.
- Extract the .zip file.
- Make sure you have .NET framework 4.0 installed. If you do not have .NET framework 4.0 installed, you can download it here.
- Run setup.exe from within the extracted folder.
- To find your User ID and Auth Key, go to your Extended Profile page and click "Game IDs" in the "GAME DEFAULTS" section. You'll find your information at the top of that window.
If you experience any troubles installing the software, please make sure you add an exception to your antivirus, have extracted the .zip file, and are running the program as administrator.
As stated above, CGAC must be used in all ladder matches played on CyberGamer. Simply open CGAC.exe, enter the match ID, and start playing.
By scrolling down on the match page, you can see which players are currently running CGAC along with all logs for that match. If CGAC is active, it should display "CGAC running" in green text.
Playing a match on the CG EU ET 3on3 or 6on6 ladder without CGAC will result in a forfeit loss.
Please note that the CG EU ET crew and I are not experts on CGAC, so all queries regarding technical support should be directed to badkip, the developer. You can contact him by posting in his journal or opening a support ticket on the CyberGamer website.

CyberGamer EU: A New Home for ET
Welcome to CyberGamer EU, Enemy Territory!
With ESL dropping support for ET in May and ClanBase shutting down entirely last month, teams were left with no competitive ladders to participate in. By simply taking a quick look at the GamesTV match schedule, it is obvious that the lack of a ladder system is rather detrimental to the activity level of our beloved game. However, thanks to some help from Netherlands timbolina, I was able to get in contact with a CoD4 league who is interested in providing the ET community with ladders and more.
I am very happy to announce that CyberGamer EU now officially supports ET!
CyberGamer (CG) is a competitive gaming league that was founded by two Australian gamers in April 2007. It was originally for AU only, until July 2011 when CyberGamer Europe was launched. Today, the CG EU PC platform supports three games: Call of Duty 4, League of Legends, and Enemy Territory.
The Australian ET scene, led by Australia biggz and Australia volta, has been involved with cups and ladders on CG AU for several years, but CG EU has never had an official ET section - until now, at least!
CyberGamer has been kind enough to offer us a brand new CG EU Enemy Territory section on their website for running cups, ladders, and more, and are even in the process of developing their own anticheat called CGAC. The anticheat was released very recently and can only be used in CoD4 at the moment, but they are still working on it and may introduce a version for ET as well. I've also been told that a new CG website will be coming in a few months with some vast improvements.
So without further ado, here are the two new CG ET ladders:
CyberGamer ET 6on6 Ladder
Create a team - Read the rules
CyberGamer ET 3on3 Ladder
Create a team - Read the rules
The structure, rules, and maplists should be familiar as they are very similar to those which we had at ClanBase. However, please read the ladder rules carefully before playing.
Finally, allow me to introduce the four CG ET admins:
Slovenia Aniky
Canada embarrassed
United States of America ohurcool
Poland szczurek
As you can see, I will be joined by Aniky and szczurek from the ClanBase ET crew as well as embarrassed from the GamesTV admin team. We are very excited about this new opportunity and will be doing our best to ensure it is a success!
My suggestion is to check out the FAQ before doing anything else, since it may take some time to get used to how things work on CyberGamer.
Any questions, comments, or suggestions? Feel free to join and idle on our new IRC channel: #cg.et!

Enemy Territory 2 - A Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Remake Project
Long-time "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory" fan and member of the "Crossfire.nu" gaming community, who goes by the name of Chubb, has assembled a Devteam in order to begin a project that we've all hoped we'd see one day, a modern recreation of our beloved "Wolf: ET" on a brand new gaming engine.
The "alpha" stage has now begun and the map that has been the main focus for now is the classic custom "ETPro" map, "Supply Depot". Here's what Chubb had to say about recent project developments and the progress made so far:
"We'd like to thank everyone for the amazing feedback via Youtube, Instagram and on the Crossfire.nu. website. Thank you to all of our donors too, your support definitely gave us a boost. We invite everyone to actively take part in our contest and we’ll consider every suggestion." - Chubb

Transmitter Spring
Tardis has created a nice spring version of the map Transmitter.
Story of Transmitter Spring:
Civilians manipulated by the Volksempfänger's propaganda program are resisting the allied forces.
To break the resistance, Allies have to overtake a local Transmitter, which is amplifying the master-signal from Berlin for local receivers.
They have to manipulate the transmission-frequency by installing a radio Modification Kit on the Transmitter.
The Allies also have to rotate the Antenna towards their pirate sender.

Happy 12th birthday, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory!
Splash Damage's first game - Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - was released exactly TWELVE YEARS ago. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was born on 29/05/2003. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was originally planned to be released as a commercial expansion pack to the popular FPS Return to Castle Wolfenstein and later as a standalone game.
However, due to problems with the single-player aspect, the multiplayer portion was released on 29 May 2003 as a freeware standalone game.
In January 2004, the source code for the game logic (not the game engine) was released to the benefit of its modding community.
The game uses a modified Return to Castle Wolfenstein engine, itself being a heavily modified Quake III: Team Arena engine (id Tech 3, which has been open-source since 2005).
As of the first day of the 2010 QuakeCon, 12 August the entire source code was released under the GNU General Public License v3.Multiple source ports have been started.
While the attempts made by OpenWolf and ET:Xreal concentrate on innovating the renderer, the most active community project ET: Legacy focuses on fixing issues by backporting improvements from ioquake3 while staying binary compatible to the original game client, server and its mods.

Omni-Bot 0.84 for ET released
Omni-Bot 0.84 for Enemy Territory has been released.
We are pleased to announce new version of Omni-Bot for ET. The most important change is that goal_save command does not save all goal properties. The benefit is smaller file size and faster initialization. The drawback is that new goals gm files cannot be opened by previous Omni-Bot versions. If you want to use the latest waypoints, you must update to 0.84. If you use NoQuarter 1.2.7, you should update too, because 0.71 interface is included in Omni-Bot 0.84.
There are also new features in the omnibot mod:
Spectator can edit waypoints and can see all players on the map.
Rendering is more reliable and uses less resources because it does not need the boost interprocess library anymore.
New cvar cg_obituary can disable "killing" messages in the console, so that important messages will not scroll out of the window.
Warm-up time can be set to 1 second. You don't have to wait 10 seconds anymore.
Changes in Omni-Bot Enemy Territory 0.84
