A little late, but better late than never.
So, 2015 has really been a great year for TWT with map releases and more members and site members joined. Also a bunch of models released too.
We have cleaned up our download section and I think our site is working good atm.
If you are a newly-started mapper to this amazing game we suggest you make yourself an account at our website as we can guarantee that you will get all the help we can give you.
Bad English is no excuse for not asking for help, for most of us here English is not our first language and we too make errors from time to time.
Our hopes for this year are that even more mappers, modders and gamers join our website and join in the discussions regarding new maps, mods etc., because player-feedback is everything.
And again, Thewolfteam is no Clan, so if you are in a Clan or Gaming Community you can still be there without any conflicts in any way. We are just a comunity of dedicated Wolfenstein Enemy Territory lovers who like to make maps and mods for this old, but amazing game.
This game still stands alone in the gaming world and no other game comes close to it.
I think we can safely say that it's the game with the most custom-made maps and mods ever.
And if you haven't tried it then you should!
We also want to encourage Clan Leaders to join us and share news with us in the proper forum. News will also be promoted from those forums to the website main page.
So what will 2016 bring?
Well, what we can say so far is that there is atleast 6-7 maps already under construction, some of which are very nearly ready to be released.
This year we will finalise all of our map projects as fast as we can and then be able to concentrate our work on model requests and mapping prefabs.
Here are some of the prefabs we think will be made this year:
-Steal Objective Prefabs-
In these archives there will be an objective to take and a delivery spot included too, which you will be able to place at different locations in your map. With a following script to simply paste into your own mapscript.
-Blow up Prefabs-
This will also be stuff that can be placed in your map with the following scripts to paste into your own mapscripts. Both Axis and Alied versions will be created, so you choose what you prefer.
-Constructible Prefabs-
With regards to these, we will always make 2 versions, one Allied and one Axis
This might include bridges, engines, waterpumps etc…
-House Prefabs-
These will be houses made either caulked or with the texturing following ET.
-Terrain Prefabs-
These will be terrains with alphablendings following the maps for you to customise in the way you like.
Also work more on our website tutorials in order to help you out in the best way we can.
We also realise that we need more map scripting tutorials, a step by step guide so people really do understand what they're reading.
So be sure to check back this year and it's always good to read a bit of feedback from you in our website guestbook.
Happy new year and all best wishes to everybody!

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - Splatterladder Wolf:ET HD Pack 2.6
This is the updated version of my HD Pack for 'Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory'. There are now two files in the download, however, the larger file is not downloaded by the players joining the server, only the small 14MB file is downloaded directly. - Wolf Enstein
Mod Installation for Server-Admins:
Put the '.pk3' files into the 'etmain' folder only and the small file will be downloaded by players joining your server. They'll have to go to Wolffiles.de in order to download and use the main HD texture pack.
To uninstall this mod just delete the file.
Installation for Players:
Put the '.pk3' files into your 'etmain' folder. If it's also in the 'etmain' folder of a gameserver you join you will see the HD-textures, weapons and uniforms in-game.

What is ETJump? ETJump is a trickjump modification for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It is based on etmain and includes bugfixes and lot's of features to give you the perfect trickjumping experience.
I decided today would be a good day to finally release ETJump 2.0.3! It took way longer than I expected and it doesn't have all the features I wanted to implement. I decided it was time to release it anyway as people have been waiting for way too long.
Short changelog:
New admin system (no more usernames and passwords that are hard to deal with)
Mapping features
Minor enhancements to gameplay
Bug fixes
What's next?
My future plan is to release new versions more frequently. Due to some mistakes I couldn't really do that for version 2.0.2.

Enemy Territory 2 - A Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Remake Project
Long-time "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory" fan and member of the "Crossfire.nu" gaming community, who goes by the name of Chubb, has assembled a Devteam in order to begin a project that we've all hoped we'd see one day, a modern recreation of our beloved "Wolf: ET" on a brand new gaming engine.
The "alpha" stage has now begun and the map that has been the main focus for now is the classic custom "ETPro" map, "Supply Depot". Here's what Chubb had to say about recent project developments and the progress made so far:
"We'd like to thank everyone for the amazing feedback via Youtube, Instagram and on the Crossfire.nu. website. Thank you to all of our donors too, your support definitely gave us a boost. We invite everyone to actively take part in our contest and we’ll consider every suggestion." - Chubb

Happy 14th birthday, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory!
Splash Damage's first game - Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - was released exactly FOURTEEN YEARS ago. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was born on 29/05/2003. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was originally planned to be released as a commercial expansion pack to the popular FPS Return to Castle Wolfenstein and later as a standalone game.
However, due to problems with the single-player aspect, the multiplayer portion was released on 29 May 2003 as a freeware standalone game.
In January 2004, the source code for the game logic (not the game engine) was released to the benefit of its modding community.
The game uses a modified Return to Castle Wolfenstein engine, itself being a heavily modified Quake III: Team Arena engine (id Tech 3, which has been open-source since 2005).
As of the first day of the 2010 QuakeCon, 12 August the entire source code was released under the GNU General Public License v3.Multiple source ports have been started.
While the attempts made by OpenWolf and ET:Xreal concentrate on innovating the renderer, the most active community project ET: Legacy focuses on fixing issues by backporting improvements from ioquake3 while staying binary compatible to the original game client, server and its mods.

Story: its the late summer of 1943 and the axis are loosing control over the north sea. The allied has noticed that and a new power is growing in the allied forces. The allied high comand has desided to use the new mobility over the north sea to attack german bases in norway.
But before they can start the offensive they need to destroy a battery so they can get close into the rocky beaches with their battleships..
Mission: the allies need to unlock the battery with a keycard and then destroy the guncontrols.
B5 to B6:
*new grass thats split the area outside the east bunker entrence

New 1.7 Update is coming Bug Fixes and New Maps one of which is the old QWTF map Blitzkrieg. The game has been in a hiatus for a while and we are looking to add some new maps make some changes, fixes, updates and slowly try and breathe a new life into the last pure fortress game out there.
Sometime soon we will post a change-log on all the fixes and changes that have been made to ETF and with some nice pictures of the new maps which we have 3/4 left atm that are a work in progress on getting finished but I can add a awesome map from the old QWTF days that was always wanted but never ported to ETF will be included in the release hopefully!
We might not release all the maps with 1.7 see what happens and how ETF unfolds and timeframe in which we want to release it hopefully if all is good more of the maps will follow in a 1.8 release (yea yea waited on 1.7 for years talk of a 1.8 :p) but if that happened ETF would have to perk up and a dev team to take ETF forward and one day in the future move it onto a engine that true fortress deserves with some nice shiny graphics, new features and no hats cause with bunny-hopping they’d just fall off!
ETF (Enemy Territory Fortress) is a free modification for the popular free game Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. This mod is actually a direct port of the once very popular Quake 3 Fortress mod in it’s prime version of 2.3 during the gaming days of Quake 3 Arena.
This game is totally free with no obligations or unwanted programs on your computer. Most modern day computers and laptops can run this game without any issues and the gameplay is very fast. The ETF mod was released in January 2005 and it’s final version of 1.6 was released in 2006.
A 1.7 update is currently in the works, release date is Christmas 2014. There are 10 classes to choose from to complete your objective of mostly “Capture the flag” (CTF) with the goal of taking the enemy flag and bringing it to your capture point, although there are reverse and one flag games modes also. There are offensive and defensive characters to choose from and this only makes the game more exciting.
