A new project for our loved game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory has just seen the light of the world >>> ET in ze Browser.

Ein neues Projekt, für unser geliebtes Spiel Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory hat gerade das Licht der Welt erblickt >>> ET im ZE-Browser.

Project Short Term Aim

    * Create a fully featured web integration for ET
    * Build a distributable pak0.pk3
    * Remove MDM/MDX in favor of IQM
    * Rewrite ETs UI and provide an updated SDK
    * Automatic updates through web launcher and standalone updater

Project Long Term Aim

    * Update ETs renderer to something less 1998
    * Improve mod support and security
    * Provide regular updates and bug fixes
    * Build a compatibility layer for legacy ET assets

Project Progress

    * Website prototype with server browser running
    * Web launcher prototype with update logic running
    * Master and auth server prototypes running
    * Distributable pak0.pk3 started but mostly placeholders at the moment
    * UI code base exists but not ported yet
    * Port of IQM model code planned but not started yet
    * Standalone updater not started yet

ET Ready - Developer utility tool 0.1.1, created by guNer

Description:
- Cleans menu, and temp file clutter
- Updates ET memory defaults (i.e. hunkMegs, soundMegs, zoneMegs...etc)
- Punkbuster installer and updater
- Verifies ETkey in all versions of ET installed
- Locks ETkey as read-only to prevent service deletion
- Applies compatibility fixes for Windows 7 and Vista
- Fixes game crashes (for any of the reasons above)
- Added "run as admin" patch for Windows 8

Info:
A simple utility I created over a year ago to handle several tasks for noob players on my servers, particularly players using old 2.55 or having disconnect errors. About half our support tickets were addressed using this one tool.
I am no longer developing it, or supporting it, but figured I would share it with the public in case anyone has a use for it.
Use at own risk, and no this is not going to fix every disconnect issue.

Beschreibung:
- Reinigt das Menü und temporäre Datei-Unordnung
- Aktualisiert ET-Speicher Standardwerte (dh hunkMegs, soundMegs, zoneMegs ... etc)
- Punkbuster Installer und Updater
- Überprüft den etkey in allen installierten ET-Versionen
- Ändert das Atribut des etkeys auf "nur-lesen" um überschreiben zu verhindern
- Anwendung von Kompatibilitätsfixes für Windows 7 und Vista
- Spiel stürzt nicht mehr ab (für jeden der oben genannten Gründe)
- Hinzugefügter Patch für Windows 8 "als Administrator ausführen"

    Added: Lua can access sess.rating, sess.rating_variance, sess.overall_killrating and sess.overall_killvariance with gentity_get function. These values are read only.
    Fixed: Tapping new weapon while reloading the old weapon, could result changing to a new weapon after reloading but when switching back, the old weapon was empty (http://mygamingtalk.com/forums/tracker/issue-184-reload-bug)
    Fixed: Class restriction bug introduced in 0.7.0.
    Fixed: Limbo panel displays the latched class. Always. Introduced in 0.7.1.
    Fixed: !givexp performs proper skill upgrade for the player.

After last month we noticed that the players on our Server A1 are in better shape. Therefor we continue our sports event.

This month we have set up some activities to play - For example: Tennis, Golden Dunk, Chess, Poker.

All maps are dual objective. So no need to sit on the bench. We will see you on 24th of March at 20:00 CET on A2 (213.239.207.85:27961)

Nachdem wir im letzten Monat bemerkt haben, dass die Spieler auf unserem Server A1 besser in Form sind, setzen wir unsere sportliches Event (auf dem A2) fort.

Diesen Monat haben wir auf folgende Aktivitäten gesetzt - zum Beispiel: Tennis, Golden Dunk, Chess, Poker.

Es sind alles Dual-Objektiv-Maps. Also es besteht keine Notwendigkeit auf der Bank zu sitzen oder zu Campen. Wir sehen uns am 24. März um 20:00 Uhr MEZ auf dem Server A2 (213.239.207.85:27961)

We are proud to present the new duel map for ET (also possible to play 2on2) - Badplace4_beta8!

Originally, The Bad Place was DM4 from Quake1 - "One of the three id Software maps included in the "big five" for 1on1 play, created by American McGee" - the version most known to us all is the RtCW remake badplace3 used to create the ET multi_huntplace.
This modified version of The Bad Place is brought to you by MaTeJ, who has worked on maps such as tjwar_a1_fixed and crypt_final_fixed - his remake of the multi_huntplace map is a better, more complex version with some minor bug fixes and generally attempted to make the map more fun to play and tactical.

Wir sind stolz darauf euch die neue Duell Map für ET (auch für 2on2) zu präsentieren - Badplace4_beta8!

Ursprünglich war Bad Place DM4 von Quake1 - "Eine der drei id-Software Maps in dem mitgelieferten "big five" für 1on1 Spiele, erstellt von American McGee" - Die meist bekannteste Map ist das RtCW-Remake Bad Place 3, welche für ET multi_huntplace verwendet wurde.
