Für alle Wolfenstein-Fans die noch Hoffnung haben oder (neue) setzen, gibt es jetzt einen weiteren Patch für den Nachfolger.

Änderungen im Überblick:
Gold- und Statsfehler beseitigt, Serverliste sortiert jetzt besser, Waffenbalancing und Treffgenaugigkeit aufgewertet, mehr Waffenschaden (MP43 / MP40), Wettbewerbsmodus hinzugefügt (ähnlich WolfPro), Fehler in der Chatkonsole beseitigt, Panzerfaust hat jetzt mehr Splash, Ironsight verbessert und noch einiges mehr.

- Players will now receive their proper gold and stats at the end of the match instead of occasionally losing their gold and upgrades
- New legal text
- Global chat is now unavailable in spectator mode
- Objective explosions don’t count towards team kills (they will however still kill a player)
- The dedicated servers will now sort correctly by ping
- A waiting bar has been added when waiting for the servers to appear
- When the player goes into the game, the auto-assign selection is highlighted gold instead of black
- Competition mode (all unlocks available, option to turn off the arrows above enemy players)
- MP43 and MP40 are adjusted in terms of damage, range and accuracy.
- Pressing T will bring up the chat box without also entering the letter T as the first letter
- Panzershrek has more splash damage
- Veil Sight drains veil energy more quickly
- Ironsights is more effective
- Amount of ammo picked up off of dead players is reduced.

Fazit:
Der Patch 1.2 bereinigt viele Fehler und wertet das Spiel, zumindest in technischer Hinsicht, auf. Trotzdem fehlt immer noch die Möglichkeit für Linux und ein SDK-Editor. Ob der neue Patch dem Game ein Comeback verleiht, bleibt aber fraglich.

What I´ve changed is the german uniforms so that they are all weapons so they look more like the ones from Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Also the skins I´ve modded are all high resolution now so the little bits on them e.g. belt buckles, medals, and title cuff's can be seen more clearly. Em you might find the game will start up a little longer because it is loading the skins.

Änderungen: Die deutschen Uniformen und alle Waffen sehen jetzt eher aus wie im Original von Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Auch die Skins haben jetzt High Resolution Qualität und kleine Details wie z.B. Schnallen, Medallien und Manschetten sind besser hervorgehoben. Oh und nicht wundern daß das Spiel etwas länger läd, das liegt an den Skins.

Langsam aber Sicher geht es in den Endspurt für wartende Wofenstein-Fans. PC Action hat jetzt, als Deutschland erstes PC-Magazin, Wolfenstein genauer unter die Lupe genommen. In der neuen Ausgabe 10/2009 ist ein 8-seitiger Bericht über unseren heisserwarteten Nachfolger Wolfenstein.

Der Test sagt viel Gutes aber auch einiges Negatives über den SinglePlayer aus. Ein großes Minus bekommt zB. das Artefakt, das zu wenig Spielrelevanz bietet und  damit viel zu wenig das Spiel beeinflusst. Über die betage Grafik werden nur wenig Worte verloren und einen Pluspunkt bekommt die deutsche Synchronisation.
Unterm Strich überwiegt aber das Positive, was PC Action dazu veranlasst dem Game ein Gesamtergebnis von 85 Punkten zu geben. Ein recht gutes Ergebnis wie wir finden. 

Der Multiplayer ist nicht im Testergebnis mit eingeflossen, da dieser zum Zeitpunkt des Test nicht verfügbar war. Nur ein paar Screenshots (siehe Bild) sind von Activision bereitgestellt worden. Nach dem MP Beta-Debakel bleibt nur zu vermuten das Raven/Endrant noch mit Hochdruck am MP arbeitet und diesem dem letzen Schliff verpasst. Der Mp-Test wird also nachgereicht.

Um so erstaunlicher ist, das die deutsche Version doch nur ohne H-Kreuze auskommen muss. Der Gewaltgrad ist NICHT reduziert und gleicht damit allen anderen Wolfenstein Versionen. 

Auch die PC Action bestätigt den Release mit 18.08.09
